Editing is a form of magic native to the Internet. While editing was first designed and practiced with the fabric of a person being clear strings of commands in mind, it can also be performed on organic life. Coreware -- the combination of code and magic that all Interneters have in different ratios -- seems to be similar to how souls function. It determines the personality and skills of the owner, but coreware also heavily dictates the owner's physical features and capability.
Since editing is essentially working with code, only Interneters that have had extensive experience, learning, and a form of passion or patience are able to edit others effectively.
